Radio is a device, based on technology of communicating and signalling through radio waves. Radio waves are nothing but electromagnetic waves of frequency lying between 30 hertz and 300 gigahertz. They can be generated using an electromagnetic device called a transistor, it is then connected to an antenna which helps in radiating waves, these waves are then received by a radio receiver connected to another antenna. The radio application of radio is very popular in modern technology, in radar, radio communications, radio navigation, remote sensing, remote controlling and other applications. Radio communications which is majorly used in television and radio broadcasting, two way radios, mobile phones, wireless networking and satellite communications among a wide variety of its applications, radio waves are used to carry information across space using from a transmitter to a receiver, the process is completed by modulating ( the process of impressing an information signal on the radio wave by varying some aspect of the wave; mainly amplitude) the radio signal in the transmitter. In radar, these waves are used to track and locate objects like ships, aircrafts, missiles and spacecrafts.
The cycle involves the transmission of a radio signal from a radio transmitter which gets reflected back by the object, the reflected waves happen to reveal the location of the object.
